Dualview stuck on after undocking with digital display connected (Windows 7)

2015-05-02, 1:13 AM

Yeah, I know, the title sounds confusing; this is a bit difficult to describe in few words, so bear with me.

Up until this point, I've been using my X200 tablet with a VGA monitor connected to the docking station. With this setup, everying was pretty much fine. Recently, I decided it would be best to take advantage of my monitor's digital interface, so I'm now using the dock's digital video connector to connect to the monitor instead. When it is first connected, everything works and looks great, but when I undock, the computer still seems to think that the second display is still plugged in, forcing me to manually cycle to single display mode.

After this, if I put the thinkpad back on the dock, I must manually cycle to dualview mode to get a picture on the secondary monitor again. With the VGA connection, this recognition of connection and disconnection was automatic. Any ideas on how to get it working right?
