Today, Lenovo has added additional batteries to a battery recall program announced last year.
Please visit the Lenovo support site here to determine if your battery is affected, and if so, to obtain a replacement.

there is a difference in specification of affected systems area on the different languages pages which might cause misunderstanding.
Lenovo is voluntarily recalling affected lithium-ion batteries worldwide.
In Russian (and other EU languages I've checked out):
Lenovo производит добровольный отзыв приблизительно 200 000 литий-ионных аккумуляторов в США и Канаде.
The last two words mean "USA and Canada".
Do it well, worse becomes itself

Is it possible to confirm the following?
I, probably mistakenly, ran the battery checker on a couple of X201i machines, and the response was "Your battery is not affected".
I then ran it on my X201 machine and the message was something like "Your battery is not eligible for replacement".
Am I correct to assume that the different wording is because the X201i is never affected, and the machine type is checked first, hence the message.
I would be happier if it were not possible to feel that the second message could imply "Your battery might explode, but we don't care because you are in the wrong country and are wearing the wrong color socks".

On some Websites, there is a list of barcodes of affected batteries (e. g. http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2015/Lenovo-Expands-Recall-of-Battery-Packs-for-ThinkPad-Notebook-Com...
Does this mean, that all batteries with 42T4862... are affected or only some of them?
