Hi,
I have some batteries that I checked with the online form. I found that they were recalled, but replacement orders for them had already been submitted by someone else. I wrote to battery@lenovo.com for advice, but the message bounced because apparently the e-mail address is defunct.
Is there any way that I could dispose of these batteries (as apparently someone else failed to do) and receive replacements?

If the batteries in question are showing up as already having been replaced under the program, surely Lenovo has met their obligations, whilst the person who received those replacements has not followed up on their obligation to recycle the defective batteries in an approved manner.
The recalled batteries should be regarded as unsafe and taken out of use. You will need to purchase replacements as Lenovo's records show free-of-charge replacements have already been issued for those batteries. You should be able to use the Product Recycling Program page to get information on how to dispose of unwanted batteries (for US users, the FAQ for the battery recall says not to use Call2Recycle for recalled batteries, but I would guess this is more to do with retaining the defective batteries until they have been replaced, than a limitation on post-replacement disposal).

Hello.
Can someone tell me that is that battery recall still alive? At least the automatic solution says that my battery was at recall, and all seems to go fine, exept that I haven't received a replament batter, and battery@lenovo.com doesn't seem to answer anything?
That is very nice if lenovo suggest to use laptop with power adapter, but never supply replament battery, and don't tell anywhere that recall is out of date....

when did you run the tool and did you receive an order number? The email address you mention is for submitting csv files from customers who have a large install base, not individual batteries.

yes I did and have just received the information I requested; the battery was out of stock but that is no longer the case and should hopefully be sent on it's way to you today, Monday at the latest.
