Gen 3 X1 Yoga struggling with excel and powerpoint

My relatively new X1 Yoga does lots of things very well, but surprises me in some very basic tasks. For instance, if I have a simple powerpoint animation where a textbox moves from one slide of the screen to another, the animation will be jittery rather than smooth. An excel file with several formulas and tabs can be difficult to navigate. I have a simple sketching program for drawing geometric shapes for work that my 9 year old Dell laptop can use just fine, but my X1 really struggles with. Not sure where I should be looking to fix this issue, which I can't imagine is true of all comparable laptops.

Re: Gen 3 X1 Yoga struggling with excel and powerpoint

I have used both applications and dealt with large complicated files and have had no performance issues with my x1 yoga gen3.  I would start task manager and do some of the problem tasks.  See if you can identify the bottleneck.
