HDMI Port Failure

2021-07-19, 20:55 PM

Hello there, 3 months out of warranty, my HDMI port has stopped working and customer service's best suggestion is a total system board replacement after it's at the depot for ~three weeks. Any possible other creative fixes? I have tried two thunderbolt to HDMI adapters but no luck there either

Good day and welcome to the community.

Please let the community know which device you have. The machine type-model number (MTM) from the underside is best, but please do not post your serial number which is normally in the same location.

Regards.

"R021" is not a Lenovo machine "type" identifier.

The machine type-model (MTM) number will be a 10-character alphanumeric string, typically of form xxxx-xxxxxx. It should be a on a sticker on ther underside of the laptop, along with the serial number (please do not post), and a manufacturing date.

Regards.
