The two HID compliant touchscreen devices were not working on my Thinkpad X1 Yoga - investigation showed that they were not connected to the hardware.
So, I uninstalled both devices - thinking that Windows would fix this at the next update. No dice.
1) How do I reinstall the HID compliant touchscreen devices?
2) How then do I enable them so they are connected to the hardware?

Step 1. The first, you need to check if your Touchscreen has been disabled or the drivers need to be installed
Step 2. In Device Manager, check the Compliant Touch screen settings
Step 3. Type in Device Manager in the search box, press enter
Step 4. when it appears as an option then click Device Manager. You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.
Step 5. Now Device manager window will appear.
Step 6. Scroll down to HID and expand tree by clicking on arrow head to the left of HID.
If there is a red cross next to the entry, right click on it and select the enable option.

Thanks - but that doesn't address my problem.
The HID-compliant Touchscreen devices themselves are missing (because I uninstalled them.
Where will I find these devices and how do I re-install them?
