Having wireless problems lately with my x40

2008-08-05, 23:50 PM
For years never had a problem.  Now, after hours or just a few hours, no more connection.  I have to shut the computer down and restart and then it works again.

Welcome to the forum!

Have you tried updating the driver if a newer one is available? What's the 7-character machine code of your X40?

Good luck and let us know.

Cheers,

George

Thank you for answering.  Yes, I downloaded a newer driver.  My IBM, which I love, is a bX40, 23828WU.  Most of the time I have wireless connection for hours but sometimes not that long.  Downloading music from Rhapsody is a sure way to lose wireless.  My router is Linksys 54G and I use Windows XP.  I have had this computer for the last 4 years and this problem started just a few months ago.
