How restore Intel AMT option in BIOS after Wi-Fi card replacement

Hi all,

 

My X1C5 with vPro (PN: 20HRCTO1WW) came with a wi-fi card Intel 8265NGW (FRU: 01AX721), and it is a vPro part. I had it replaced with a Intel AX200NGW (FRU: 02HK705), but while the card worked fine, the AMT menu in BIOS disappeared. I returned the Intel 8265NGW back, but AMT option wasn't back in the BIOS menu.

 

How restore Intel AMT option in BIOS after Wi-Fi card replacement?

Thanks for posting,

 

Let's check the current BIOS installed on your laptop. Go to BIOS https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht500222 and check the UEFI BIOS Version in Main Tab. The latest one is N1MET57W (1.42), and if the BIOS has an older one, please proceed with installing the latest BIOS here,

We also found that the Wi-Fi card with part number 02HK705 is not listed in the compatible parts here,

This is the reason why there are feature that is affected due to BIOS Whitelist.
