How to enable Rapid Charge on x1 carbon gen 5

Recently got my x1 carbon gen 5 and I love the machine.

However I can's seem to find out how to turn on the Rapid Charge option

I have the 65w charger and according to the spec sheets rapid charge should be supported.

But I cannot find the setting in windows or in the lenovo settings app to turn Rapid Charge on. Does anyone know how?

Re: How to enable Rapid Charge on x1 carbon gen 5

Hello and welcome,

I don't have an answer, but I'm curious to know how long it's taking to charge now.

The PSREF doc says 80% in 1 hour, 100% in 2.5 - in rapid charge mode.

Re: How to enable Rapid Charge on x1 carbon gen 5

I hope, disabling of the auto-dection of the airplane power mode might help. Launch Lenovo Settings for that.

Re: How to enable Rapid Charge on x1 carbon gen 5

I don't have that option (to disable detection of airplane mode)

I can't see the option to enable/disable rapid charge in settings either

Can ppl who owns a x1c5 chime in about whether they can see this setting

And lenovo: is there meant to be a setting at all? Or is rapid charge automatically enabled i x1c5

Re: How to enable Rapid Charge on x1 carbon gen 5

There isn't specific setting "Rapid charge". Airplane Power Mode settings are under Power category of Lenovo Settings app. Lenovo System Interface Foundation package should be installed. Honestly, I can't specify whether there is relevant seting in the BIOS Setup as I can't terminate and reboot my T470p with similar Rapid Charge feature.

Re: How to enable Rapid Charge on x1 carbon gen 5

I've found the airplane mode

So you are telling me rapid charge is automatically enabled on XIC without any bios change or app setting selection?

Because its certainly not on the settings app
