x220forMe,
Aren't all the screens for X220/230 anti-glare?
No, I definitely don't need TN when IPS is available. I just thought that maybe the 3920 is newer and better than the 3919.
Thanks for clarifying!

Yeah, I'll probably go with 04w3919. Frankly, I would be content with the 04w3462 that came with my x220 if some white spots didn't appear on it.

Hey people, I have a little dilemma here. My X220 came with a really poor TN display and my first thought was to replace it with an Ips.
I've found 04w3462 for 45 EUR
and 04w3919 for 90 EUR.
I'm wondering if the second one is worth the difference.
(The second one is also brand new, and the first one looks like new, but take that info with a grain of salt.)
Thanks in advance for any help.

I found 04w3919 on Amazon for 42 EUR (plus 10e shipping), so I know what I'll buy now

Hey, Ive just had a problem with my x230 IPS screen, went to Lenovo to get my part number and I also saw 04W3919 and 04W3462.
I read earlier in this thread that 04W3462 is both TN and IPS. How on earth can that be? Surely the point of a part number is to distinguish this difference??
I ask because there's a lot of screens listed on ebay with either part number and they say they are not IPS screens.
So is 04W3919 definitely IPS?

I think so, this FRU# is for panel LP125WH2-SLB3 if I remember correctly.
Other panels you can use:
I'd avoid buying LP125WH2-SLB1 (used in X220), older versions of this panel tend to develope ghosting issues

Hi, I read about LP125WH2 SLT1 after writing my last reply.
Which is better from LP125WH2 SLT1 and LP125WH2 SLB3?

Difficult to say... I personally have a late model SLB1 (hopefully without ghosting effect) and a SLB3, I can't notice any difference between them.
I read in some forums people liked the SLT1 more.
