Install Windows on 512GB mSata SSD drive on Thinkpad X220
Hi
I installed an mSata SSD drive (Kingston SKC600MS512G) in my Thinkpad X220. It is listed in Windows Device Manager under Hard Drives along with my HDD on which Windows is currently installed. I thought I can use diskmgmt.msc to initialize the mSata drive, but in the Disk Management Tool I can only see my HDD (C:) and no other drive or partition.
In the end I want to use the mSata SSD drive to install windows on it or at least use it as an additional partition. During a clean windows install only the HDD drive is listed, so I am not able to install the OS on the mSata drive.
Someone suggested to update the BIOS. My BIOS Version is 1.46, which I think is the most recent version. Any suggestions what I can do?
