Is there a way to disable the pointing stick and not disable the buttons (Carbon x1)?

2019-04-03, 22:40 PM

I was shipped a lemon of a computer and I sent it back to lenovo in warranty to get it fixed.  While they had the computer for the third time, the  warranty expired and they refused to fix it while it was in their possesion.

The problem is that the TrackPoint does not calibrate itself.  It simply does laps around the computer screen,  I don't use the trackpoint, but I use the buttons so disabling the mouse in settings disabes the mouse buttons.  I know I can reduce the sensitivity in the registry, but that doesn't really help.

I want to disable the pointing stick and only the pointing stick.
