Keyboard and TouchPad stop working after plugging in USB-C before unlocking screen. TPX1Yoga 20JF

2019-06-15, 5:01 AM

No keyboard makes it difficult for staff to enter their password and keep their TabletPCs battery charged.

If the USB-C powersupply and /or "Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub" are plugged-in before the MS Windows screen is unlocked, the keyboard and TouchPad do not work.  If I wait to attach till after signed-in to Windows, then both work.  This was not always a problem.  May have to do with recent BIOS or some other update.   Repeatable problem on two different ThinkPad X1 Yogas.

Rotating the TabletPC into slate mode and then rotating back to laptop mode does not bring back the keyboard.

The stylus and touchScreen continue to work.

Hi pcTechs,

Welcome to the community forums.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the touchpad, keyboard and USB driver. Update us how it goes.

Thanks!

Sorry, I lost track of this posting.  I had tried the uninstall, reboot, and let Windows reinstall.
