Keyboard issue on a brand new Lenovo Carbon X

2019-08-22, 13:21 PM

I have a new Carbon X gen 6. From the box it has a problem -  keyboard numeric keys do not work except for 5 and 6. These are the number keys on the top of the keyboard. Somehow i could fix it for awile with a Fn+F_eleven ... so it is not a harware problem ... but after OS updates the problem reappeared. And Fn+F_eleven now leads to nothing. I think it was a ''keyboard manager'' or something similar. I can't find this program as well.

I did a google search on "windows keyboard numbers not working' and found a lot of people with the same exact problem, with only numbers 5 and 6 working.  People have tried swapping ports, swapping keyboards, updating drivers, but still have the problem. Could it be some weird key stroke combination is changing the keyboard settings? Or any other ideas?

Thank you in advance.
