Lenovo Battery Gauge gone?

2016-08-10, 10:49 AM

At some point in the last few days or weeks, the green battery indicator simply vanished from my X1 Yoga (Win10) without a trace, and it seems I'm not the only one with that problem. I tried downloading it from the support page, but the software was removed from the list, and a link from google only leads to a "page-not-found" message.

So, what's going on? Will there be a new version of the battery indicator? Why was the old one uninstalled and not just simply updated via system update?

Apparently, Lenovo integrated the feature into the "Lenovo Settings" app.

If you want a free taskbar battery gauge try BatteryBar

Yes, fb1996 is correct: When we weren't looking, Lenovo snuck the Battery Gauge into Lenovo Settings.

If you have the latest Lenovo Settings app installed, and ThinkPad Settings Dependency, then right click on the Taskbar and you should see Lenovo Battery Gauge under Toolbars.

Hope this helps!

I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!

Thanks!

Lenovo should tout this improvement rather than "sneaking" it in where few will find it ;)
