Lenovo Recovery Q partition - empty?

Why do I get "this folder is empty" when I try to view the files in the Lenovo Recovery Q partition? This is a Windows 7 operating system, and I have the window view Folder Options enabled to show hidden files, folders, and drives.  But there must be plenty there, since only 2.96GB of 9.76 GB of the Q partition is free.  I need to edit a file in the Q partition so I can create a back-up.  Any help in making the contents visible is appreciated.  Thanks

Re: Lenovo Recovery Q partition - empty?

I have answered my own question.  The answer is that you must also ensure to uncheck "Hide protected operating systems files (Recommended)".  By default, this is checked.  All then becomes visible.

Hope this helps someone else.
