There are no problems only solutions....
Lenovo offers WiGig or LTE-Moduls (Huawei or Sierra ) at the configuration on various ThinkPad models...
ThinPad X1 Yoga
But not both functions !
Through my solution..... at the same time use of both functions are now possible ....And the Lenovo warranty remains valid !!!
I did this modification on my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 20FQ0044GE
To get it to work with the LenovoThinkPad WiGig Dock you will need a
Intel® Tri-Band Wireless-AC 18260 (Lenovo 00JT492)

This step is simple.... just remove the Intel wireless AC-8260 and put the Lenovo 00JT492 AC -18260 inside...
now you only need a third WLAN antenna ..
(The other 2 antennas remains behind the screen...what I noticed after...The overall reception strength has risen up significantly...by the new arrangement of the antennas !!!!!) i have now a constant height connection on all networks ....!!!!
Space is enough on the battery....Just stick the antenna on it...and connect all the antenna cables again ....
Install all the driver and the System will work like a charm ...And that was it.... personally i am more than satisfied with the new results....
Best regards ... and have fun....

Of course but - where did you get a 60GHz antenna? And where did you mount it inside the laptop?
Are you saying that the 18260 + WiGig antenna gives you better WiFi performance than the stock 8260? I am a bit surprised as the 3rd antenna is only designed for the additional 1x1 60GHz stream and has nothing to do with the 2x2 2.4/5.2 streams.

Actually all antennas are identical ....I have taken the normal lenovo WLAN antenna....Below are the wigig cables...But I do not think it can be better as my results... My modification is already above the reference value....
(You can also plug the antennas differently into the 3 pins on the AC-18260 and adjust it to your environment, now you have 2 antennas behind the screen and one at the battery)
i hope this will help you.. ..i have mounted the 3rd antenna on the X1 Yoga battery ...there is space enough....

So you bought all the stuff from Lenovo parts direct?
Still not clear where you deployed the WiGig antenna internally in the laptop?
Not trying to be funny but a 57-64GHz WiGig antenna may appear the same but I guarantee you is quite different to a 2.4/5.2 normal one, e.g. mode, element length, etc. I'm not saying a "normal" WiFi antenna won't work but it won't be optimised for WiGig. A piece of wire will work too if you see what I mean...

OK but can you please post the pic of antenna installed in the laptop? So we know how to do it? Including the new 18260 card installed?

ok.i will try it .in the next days ...
because the X1 Yoga runs as a Server 24/7...
He has his work to do...and I can not break up now....

If you can that'd be great - if not don't worry.
I ask as, coincidentally, I have ordered a 18260 from China for an XPS 13 (since no whitelist) and will upgrade that to WiGig - but will upgrade the X1 if possible to source one with the right Lenovo IDs.
That's why I ask where you got the "genuine" card and antenna, I can find generic but not Lenovo ones. You can modify the IDs but I have not personally been sucessful in doing that.
