Lenovo Thinkpad X1 carbon 7th Gen adaptive brightness

2019-11-23, 0:18 AM

Does anyone know if it is possible to have adaptive brightness on the 7th gen x1 carbon? As in when I plug or unplug the charger the brightness dims or brgihtens. In the power managment section and under display where you would normally have this option.

Hi dn91! Welcome to our forums community. Let's try to adjust the screen brightness in advanced power settings. Follow the steps below.

1. Open Power Options, and click/tap on the Change plan settings link for your current power plan.

2. Click/tap on the Change advanced power settings link.

3. In your current active power plan's (ex: High Performance) advanced settings, expand open Display and Display brightness.

4. Change the brightness percentage to the level you want, and click/tap on OK.

Hope this works for you. Let us know how it goes.
