Lenovo USB-C 45W AC Adapter, charging phone?

Hi. I have a question about the USB-C 45 Watt AC Adapter (4X20E75132). In addition to charging the designated notebooks and tablets, such as Carbon X1, is this also designed to safely charge devices like mobile phones that require less power? Thanks!

Re: Lenovo USB-C 45W AC Adapter, charging phone?

Should be yes. USB-C adapter send default 5V first. But most newer phones are either PD2.0 or QC3.0. So might only be able to charge with limited current (not 2A full current).

Newer 45W adapter is listed under PD2.0 device.

Uhmmm... I wonder if I can charge my iPhone... It's a pity the charger doesn't include an USB plug, like the one included with Microsoft's Surface.
