Lenovo X1 Carbon freezes (Type 20A8)

2016-09-16, 6:27 AM

Hi there

Last week, my laptop (Windows 10 x64) crashed into a bluescreen ("SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED"). I googled the error and tried several fixes. The bluescreen does not occur anymore but the computer always freezes after several minutes and gets stuck in a boot loop. The strange thing is that when I unplug the battery, the laptop runs without any problems, but only with the one link (and not with the regular charging cable).

Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance!

Best,

groovi

Just a short update: i reinstalled windows 10 twice, reinstalled all drivers but nothing worked. It's even worse now. The freezes now also occur with the battery plugged out, but less frequent than with the battery plugged in.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be?

Thanks!
