Have you tried connecting a different device or headphones via Bluetooth on your X1 Extreme laptop? If yes, are you having the same issue or it only occur using your Bluetooth headphones? You may try checking and updating the Bluetooth driver by following the steps on this link: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht500004?CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6 and update us how it goes.
