To add to the knowledge base - I have connected my Yoga X1 2nd Gen to an Asus XG Station 2 with an ASUS 1080 GTX SC successfully. It charges over the Thunderboldt and runs great. much gaming and VR still to do!

Thanks! Is great to know that. Though it probably belongs to https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/bd-p/tp02_en?

Thanks...saw other Yogas and disregarded the 'X'
to the eGPU - initially i needed to disable the Thunderboldt Security Settings in BIOS it was then able to 'see' the attached device however i needed to plug the Thunderboldt into Port 1 (rear with power symbol) for the software to see it?
Lenovo is there a difference between Port 1 and 2?
After that installation was just fine.

Hi! I was wondering how is gaming performance? Did you try other things as well like video editing, or similar?
I have an X1 Yoga 2nd Gen, and planning to buy an eGPU as well.
Did you do some benchmarks? What is your opinion? Was it worth it, do you recommend it?
Thanks in advance.
