Hi uaguy, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!

Try uninstalling then reinstalling ThinkPad Settings Dependency.

Hope this helps!

I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!

Re: Lenovo X230, CustomEventMonitor.dll "there is a problem starting"

I found this ToDo

1, uninstall software Lenovo lenovo settings
2. Disable System Interface Foundataion Service service items, restart the computer.

Actually I just uninstalled all Lenovo software and kept only System Update. It helps. Somehow this problem has appeared only today... strange..

Re: Lenovo X230, CustomEventMonitor.dll "there is a problem starting"

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga S1.  Uninstalling and reinstalling Thinpad Settings Dependency fixed the RunDll CustomEventMonitor.dll issue I was having.

The Yoga 900 does not seem to be running ThinkPad Settings Dependency.  Must be a different program somewhere.
