In Device Manager right click the Unknown Device and select Properties. Select the Details tab and in the Property dropdown list, choose Hardware Ids.

In the Value section underneath, make a note of the information shown there and then head over to https://www.pcilookup.com/.

On there, enter the characters shown in the Value section after the VEN_ text in the Vendor field on the website and the also enter the characters shown in the Value section after the DEV_ text in the Device field and click Submit. This will tell you what device it is.

Example

Value string for the Hardware Ids of your Unknown Device says:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0BE1&SUBSYS_338D103C&REV_09

On https://www.pcilookup.com/ you would enter 8086 in the Vendor field and 0BE1 in the Device field before clicking submit. This would tell you that the device is an Intel Atom processor.

Here's the example string again with the relevant information you need highlighted:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0BE1&SUBSYS_338D103C&REV_09
