I've been having an issue with my X270 laptop since I bought it. The laptop is running Windows 10.
What happens is randomly (this can take weeks, or days) the trackpad and pointing stick completely stops working. The only solution is to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them using an external mouse.
I've tried various versions of the drivers, including the latest, and it still continues to happen. Any solutions to fix this?

X270 TYPE 20HN-0016MD S/N: PC-****** 17/05
The same behavior whti my x270.
70/30 I use TrackPoin/touchpad, when I switch to touchpad it hangs for 5-20 ~sec then works again.
I usually work 8h/day and have this sticking 3-5 tymes a day.
I am looking for log file where it can be tracked, could any body guide me how to catch the log? I wonder what exactly happens.
The newest updates installed.

Support suggests me reinstall OS (Win 10 in my case),
reproduce the issue without 3-rd party software
then request support for additional check if the issue still exist
than replace hardware if needed using warrenty

Tested on fresh Win10 with the newest driver installed from official site - touch bar still hangs.
Also I install the second SSD in wwan port, install Linux Mint on it - checked the touch bar without additional drivers - touch bar hangs.
80% of time it works proper but sometime it hungs, cursonstarts slowly moving up and left. The only one workaround - red stick.
After 20 - 30 sec the issue gone and touch bar works again.
I bet it it hardware issue due to the same behavior on Win10 and on Ubuntu.
Will try to repair using warrenty.
