Lenovo X380 - USB C-Dock - external Displays do not work after driver update

Hi,

after installing the following display driver update

  • Intel HD Graphics Driver
  • 26.20.100.6951
  • 26 Sep 2019

my Lenovo X380 will not recognize the external displays connected via USB C-Dock (by DP to mini-DP). After un-installing the display driver and re-installing an older version, the problem is fixed. Is this issue known and will there be a fix available in future?

Same here. We have hundreds if not thousands of X380's w/USB-C docks deployed in our organization. It doesn't seem to be affecting Thunderbolt docks... at least not yet.
It's only affected about 20 machines that we know of. The driver was released by Lenovo on September 26th, 2019 and seems to be auto updated through Lenovo System Update. The driver date itself says June 12, 2019. Until a fix is found, we're having to uninstall the display adapter, reinstall using the driver from March 2018 available through Windows Update and uninstall System Update. We're in talks with our Lenovo rep who is working on opening a case.
