Lenovo Yoga X1 3rd Gen - Crashes A LOT after Updates

Hi.

I was one of the persons having the flickering keyboard issue.

No I ran the Lenovo System Update app and installed everything that was recommended to me and now the whole thing crashes pretty much every 5 minutes. Even while idleing. Now I am back to my trusty MacBook.

The old BIOS drivers are not on their site, how do I roll back????

Best regards!

Henrik

Re: Lenovo Yoga X1 3rd Gen - Crashes A LOT after Updates

Hi.

I just ran the Hardware Diagnostics from the Boot Menu:

Memory Quick Test Fails after 4-8 seconds:

Result Code: UME800800-WN7YEJ

any ideas?

Is my memory really gone?????

The Extended Test also fails like crazy:

Advanced integrity test failed

adress Test failed

Bit High passed

bit low failed

...

A quick google search showed among the top results this thread. From the answers this sounds like an actual memory issue. Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in.

It's funny that this just appeared the moment I installed Bios and chipset updates. Beforehand all was fine... ?

Agreed, that's suspicious. In another thread (didn't copy the link) I found a guy who had similar problems, and who couldn't fix it by replacing the memory. He claimed that all was fixed after he updated the SSD firmware. Hope you can sort this out without sending anything back.
