Lenovo x230 - how to adjust screen brightness?

Hello,

So recently I've noticed that I am unable to adjust the brightness of my Lenovo x230 display.  The Fn+F8/F9 hotkeys do absolutely nothing.  All other hotkeys work without issue.

I change the brightness in Lenovo Power Manager, apply, and no change.  This applies to both AC and battery power.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Mike

Edit:  Fixed by installing Windows 8.  I guess it's about time I get used to it!

What you could've tried before was installing the Hotkey driver.

I've got the same issue with being unable to adjust the screen brightness, and have installed the hotkey driver.  Is there some config of these kes required?
