I have never had a problem with Crucial RAM, and from what I understand it is one of the brands that people have the fewest problems with in Lenovo systems, but from what I can tell, the RAM you need for a Thinkpad X250is DDR3-1600 1.35V and not DDR4, and you may not be able to go to 16GB unless your processor supports it.

Try using Crucials scanner at http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory-info once you determine if your system will support more RAM.
BTW.... If you already have 8GB , you might also consider spending your money on a SSD instead of RAM if you do not already have one and are looking to boost speed, rather than the number of programs that you can open simultaneously etc..

I agree with JD.
You need a 2.5 inch SSD (replacing a spinner). Not 16GB of memory if CPU is NOT I5-4300U.
This means if I5-4300U, 8GB max. Others in list, 16GB max.

I stated it correctly.
