I am looking at adding SSD Drive to my X270. I am not your expert at this. I was told that I can add mSATA in place of the WLAN card. Is that true? any mSATA will do, or there is a list of SSD disk that are compatible?
Any other option to the mSATA without having to replace my hard drive?
After adding an mSATA in the WLAN slot, how could I move my Windows 7 to it?
I do have a X230 with 256GB SSD drive. Could it be moved to my new X270?
Appreciate all your help

Warm Greetings & welcome to Lenovo Community, happy to have you here.
You can use WWAN slot for additional SSD without replacing the current HDD. It will take M.2 2242 SSD.
Following parts are compatible with your system: (source)

Transcend (TS512GMTS400) is making 500GB SSD but I cannot confirm the compatibility so you can purchase from seller with good return policy in case.
