Missing driver for ACPI\LEN0078\5&2890D699&0

Hello,

I did a fresh install of a vanilla Windows 8.1 on my Lenovo X1 Carbon

Now there is an unknown device listed.

Device instance path:

ACPI\LEN0078\5&2890D699&0

Location: on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller

I found a hint to install the power management drivers, that did not help. Now I installed all drivers listed for the Lenovo X1 but the problem still exists.

Any further advice?

Thank you very much!

Tobias

Did you find a solution? I just ran into this on my X230 with a clean Win 8.1 build.

Googling the text gives you:

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS032422

Worked fine on my t530, hopefully it works for you too.

Re: Missing driver for ACPI\LEN0078\5&2890D699&0

I have a X230 and noticed the same thing after Win 8.1 x64 installation, read "read me" of the HID HW Radio Switch and understood it was the driver for the physical switch to turn on/off Wireless and bluetooth, found the switch Works WITHOUT driver. installed it, same functionality, decided to keep it uninstalled, may be a running process in the BG. The same "read me" says "this may not be necessary".

I had the same problem on my W530 thinkpad after a clean install of win8.1. It was Lenovo HID HW Radio Driver. It worked.
Thanks nerdwaller for the link.

Can confirm that Lenovo HID HW-Radio driver v.1.0.0.54 (http://support.lenovo.com/de/de/downloads/ds032422) worked on Thinkpad X230 running Windows 10 x64.
