Mobile Broadband Problem

2016-04-19, 3:10 AM

I have a new X260 with Windows 7 Pro installed.

When I try to utilize the Mobile Broadband option, the Lenovo Broadband Activation software tells me that it cannot read the SIM card.  I go to the Verizon Wireless and they test the SIM card and tell me it is activated and working fine.

So, at this point, no Mobile Broadband - which is half the reason I bought this particular laptop model.

I have updated to the latest driver for the Sierra Wireless EM7455 card which is installed in the X260.

Has anyone run into a similar problem?

Thank you.

you dont really need to run the Lenovo Broadband Activation tool thats only for special SIM card you can get off lenovo that can then be activated on some carriers so all you gota do is insert your sim card and use lenovo connection tool or w.e name is and from there you can connect to mobile broadband system and thats it you should be fine after that.
