Re: NVME Drive for X260

2019-05-01, 23:35 PM

Has anyone received this drive yet? A few days ago I received an email from B&H that it's still backordered.

Not a good experience so far. Why post a product when they had no clue on availability.

Hi everyone, I just found the ssd is on sale on the china website:

https://s.taobao.com/search?q=%E9%9B%B7%E5%85%8B%E6%B2%99+LNM520&imgfile=&commend=all&ssid=s5-e&search_type=item&sourceId=tb.index&spm=a21bo.2017.201856-taobao-item.1&ie=utf8&initiative_id=tbindexz_20170306

Cause I will receive my x260 until in July 2019,  so...is there anybody has tried the ssd OK? Can the ssd work normally on the m2 slot?

Unfortunately, I have not received mine yet and no estimated ship date. I ordered it on April 12th. Best idea from the seller is May 31st Ship date.

I also found this: https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z0k.7385997.1997989073.d4919141.550443b9nCB6lm&id=520538088744&_u=t2dmg8j26111 The point is, it can support the ssd's pm mode,on pm mode, the two ssd will be identify, but I dont know whether x260 has the pm mode, the pm mode's ssd as the startup disk after boot-up

I just got a notification from B&H that my order shipped, the 256gb version. Estimate says I should have it next week on May 21st. I'll post any updates.

Awesome! I ended up deciding to cancel my order for the 256gb version and go for the 512gb version, so I guess I get to wait a little bit longer.

Well, I received the SSD today. I popped it in, and unfortunately, it does not appear in Win10 Disk Management after I boot up.

I went in BIOS, and checked that all the internal devices are enabled like the WWAN slot, etc, everything is enabled.

Not sure what else to do. Anyone got any ideas? BIOS revision 1.43

Em...I have some other thoughts:
Plan 1:
Disassemble the wireless card and put the ssd on the card slot, do not use the unused slot. If it can not work....

Plan2:
I dont know whether you can buy the adapter box at your side:   ( I cant upload the photos, only can give an URL )

https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z0k.7385997.1997989073.d4919141.550443b9nCB6lm&id=520538088744&_u=t2dmg8j26111

The box support 2 sata mode ssd, do not support pcie mode ssd. It will identify 2 sata mode ssd separately only under the mass board support the pm start mode, it can support pm mode, jbod mode, raid0 mode, raid1 mode, only support Key-B sata mode ssd(2230,2242,2260,  2280--do not assemble the out shell)

I just ordered one of the 256gb ones off Amazon. They finally have them in stock and are matching the BHPhotoVideo.com discount. Mine should arrive tomorrow, so I should be able to mess around with it on Friday. I'll let you know if I find anything useful or get somewhere.
