I own a Thinkpad X1 Carbon and noticed that it won't enter standby as long as wifi is enabled. I can 100% reproduce the following:
Configure sleep settings in Windows 8 energy manager.
Leave notebook alone for the configured time, screen goes blank as expected but it won't enter sleep state.
When I disable the Intel Advanced N 6205 in device manager and leave the notebook alone, it enters sleep state as expected. Same when using flight mode.
I ran "powercfg -energy" and it tells me that the wifi-modem couldn't enter sleep state due to WMM issues. I checked on my router (Fritz Box 7390) and the connection is listed as WMM enabled.
I also tried with different energy settings for the wireless adapter but to no avail.
I checked using driver version provided by Lenovo as well as with the current driver 15.6.1
Any ideas on how to fix this very annoying issue?
Thanks in advance,
