Option to delete recovery partition is lost after recover discs are made.

2011-05-26, 4:41 AM

This doesn't seem right..

I used Thinkvantage tools to make recovery discs.  Also in this tool was the option to recover the space of the recovery partition and add it to the overall C-drive space.

Unfortunately, now that I've made (and boot-tested) the recovery discs, I can't get back into the recovery disc tool to make use of the partition.  Is there any other way to run the recovery partition removal tool, or will I have to do it manually?

Right, just realized that later.  Delete partition, then extend the C: partition.  Worked perfectly]

The option is also presented if you boot the recovery CD, as well as, apparently, a chance to maje a second recovery disc set (I couldn't because I had already deleted the partition)
