Reset x260 to factory

I need to reset x260 to factory default.  The normal instructions do not work primarily as the reset procedure asks for my password, which I do not have.  Is there a reset disc or other means?

Re: Reset x260 to factory

Hi Don_PC!

Welcome to the community forums. Are you trying to reset the Laptop using F11? If it is asking for a password. It means that the harddrive is encrypted. Even using a reset disc will not let you reset the laptop if it has this password. Please retrieve the password who set up this.

To get the recovery media. Please see this article: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht035659

Regards,
