This is a cause of issue. Modem firmware for CDMA/EV-DO networks is loaded while Hutchison 3G and Telkomsel operate in the UMTS networks.

You should to change modem settings to support UMTS networks. I'll provide solution tomorrow.

Re: Sierra Wireless MC8355 on Windows 10

There are several ways to change default fw image for mc8355:

1. GobiImgMgr tool in the folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sierra Wireless Inc\GobiQDLService
Launch it. If it has GUI, change default image to #6, Generic UMTS.
Or from the command line - open the command prompt window and type in the following string:
GobiImgMgr -FWUPDATE AUTO -DEFAULTIMAGE 6

2. Reinstall the wwan card drivers with specific, not default, parameters.
Navigate to the folder where drivers package is extracted during installation and launch the following string from the command prompt window:
C:\Drivers\WWANSR\LenovoQMISetup.exe DEFAULTIMAGE=6

Explanations and similar example:
https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht050584
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Windows-8-and-8-1/WWAN-Gobi3000-X220T-and-Windows-8/m-p/950767#M2197

After fw # changing default image will be UMTS networks compatible. So you should see network name in the OS Cellular settings.

Re: Sierra Wireless MC8355 on Windows 10

there aren't official (from Sierra) drivers for win10, so, that's a custom package with installation settings modified.
