Sierra wireless EM7345 - GPS

2015-12-17, 13:09 PM

Hi,

In Lenovo`s website it says that Sierra Wireless EM7345 FRU 04X6014 has GPS as well.

So, I installed it on my x1 Carbon gen2, its network is working perfectly but when I tired its GPS it isn`t.

When I open Maps of Microsoft or installed other apps it didn`t work either. So, where could be the problem.. is it the app/program or it`s the modem

I am using Windows 10 Pro

Thanks,

Kushtrim

Hi, kushtrim

Is there location sensor, em7345 related, in the device manager?

To force em7345 embedded location receiver to work, Sierra Wireless drivers should be installed and modem virtual ports composition edited. To understand the cituation read this thread and post:
