It does improves a little bit, but the problem is still not addressed.
In addition, I found the scrolling function not working in Excel when there is window freeze in the worksheet.
Hope Lenovo can quickly improve the driver so as to bring back the smooth and efficient scrolling function.

I have the same problem. It is really big trouble when you are reading anything from web-page, pdf or word. Page scrolls just fine for 15-20 rows and then it goes almost one page down. I got my laptop end of May. I installed even new drivers, but no help. I have always go and crab the roll-bar to scroll any documents, because othervice it is almost impossible to read anything.

In my laptopi it isnt going away or appearing for a minute or two. It is continuous and it doesnt go away. I hope they dont let the trackpoint go. If u get use to it, it is far more better than any toutchpads.

The latest driver seems to have fixed this for me by changing from Traditional to Standard for the middle button scrolling. Prior to installing the new driver and changing this setting, scrolling with the middle button would make pages skip a whole section down for no apparent reason and then it'd continue to scroll normally. Not had any issues scrolling with the touch pad though.

I am using WIN7 64bit. The newer driver version dose solve the jumpy/spotty problem in CHROME, but the problem remains in MS OFFICE and ADOBE ACRABAT.
Hope Lenovo can quickly solve this.

In response to customer reports, Lenovo released an improved UltraNav driver.
It can be downloaded here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/DS101836
Thank you,

I have just bought my second lenovo. The reason I buy lenovos is because of the trackpoint. The trackpoint on this machine plays up constantly - it played up only occasionally on the old machine. This is now a multiple times a day problem.. It is seriously affecting my use of the computer - and my whole income is generated from work I do on the computer. I have contacted Lenovo whose basic response is nothing. They make you do a couple of tests on the machine which make no difference and then tell you to update software - all done. NO DIFFERENCE. This is totally unacceptable.

This latest fix helps me on web-pages, but not in Word documents, Excel spreadsheets nor Adobe pdf-files. Have to say, the last thing why I buy Lenovo laptops is crumbling. If they dont fix this issue my next laptops will be something others.
