After updating the bios of my x1 extreme to version 1.18 i get a blue screen from time to time. this never happend before to me in my life with any thinkpad...

That is almost certainly a device driver issue, and is usually not related to the BIOS.
The best way to troubleshoot the problem is to locate the C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP file created by the blue screen, zip it up, and then upload to OneDrive etc. so it can be reviewed.
Sometime the Windows event logs can help too, but the memory.dmp file works best.

I got the same laptop and also just updated BIOS to 1.18. In my case, both thunderbolt ports have stopped working but no blue screens. I posted about this here. Hopefully someone at Lenovo notices that this release seems to have not gotten a good QC...
