Thank you for sharing, this is really helpful! After you have more time to play with the X1 Nano, would you mind letting us know how many hours of battery life you' getting?

Certainly will.

Please note, though, that I set the charging threshold to start charging at 45% and end at 95% in order to protect the battery longevity, so I won't be doing a deep discharge.

Thanks alot. Bit anxious about keyboard as notice that the new standalone Thinkpad keyboard is a bit mushy and not the same. But thanks very much and looking forward to more when you have the time.

The keyboard on my Nano isn't mushy feeling in any way that I can sense. It's a really solid machine in my testing so far.

Regards.

Hi.

Could you please measure the length/width of the keyboard? I'm wanting to compare it with my x1 carbon 8th, and see how much it got shortened, especially I noticed that the Insert/End is merged together in X1 nano.. possibly both the length / width as well.

- length in cm? (e.g. starting from the left edge of the Fn key to to right edge of the right arrow)

- width in cm? (e.g. starting from the top edge ESC to the bottom edge Fn key)

Many thanks

Regards

Happy to help.

The keyboard width dimension (Fn left edge > Right arrow right edge) is: 10.375 in / 26.35 cm.
The keyboard depth dimension (Esc/top > Fn/bottom) is: 4.875 in / 12.38 cm 3.875 in / 9.84 cm.

Hope this helps a bit.

Edited to correct an error.

Thanks a lot.

FYI, I've just measured my X1 carbon 8th (See the attached photo)

Width: 10.5cm
Length: 15.0cm+13.25cm = 28.25cm

Looks like the width is longer in X1 nano by about 2cm, and the length is shorter by about 2cm... :-(

Many thanks
Regards

My apologies... I misreported the depth measurement.
The depth dimension (Esc/top > Fn/bottom) is: 3.875 in / 9.84 cm. (I've corrected my post above, also)

Hope this helps a bit.

Not running any benchmarking kind of things, but so far, in my normal use patterns, I'm seeing 6-7hrs running from 95% down to 45% where I've got the system set to start recharging the battery.

Regards.
