Re: The driver WUDFRd failed to load...

Thanks, but I found a solution. I do not necessarily like it but it fixed
the warning. There is an older version of the Lenovo Finger Print sw from
UPEK which was developed before Authentec purchased them. It is
IN1FGP08WW1.exe and it eliminates the warning. However, it is not as secure
as the current version.

Re: The driver WUDFRd failed to load...

Thank ragonarf...
I guess I'll keep with the secure version and not read my error log for now ...

And hope we get a new driver at some point ... kind of embarrassing that they let this get out of the development/QA testing process this way................

Re: The driver WUDFRd failed to load...

I installed the available update through Lenovo System update and it appears to have resolved the Event Log messages.....

Re: The driver WUDFRd failed to load...

the problem event id 219 task category 212 is back on my x1 carbon.  unfortunately the upek drivers in IN1FGP08WW1.exe do not work with the x1 probably becaude it uses a different fp reader.  does anyone have any ideas for the x1 carbon event id 219 task category 212 wudrf fails to load warning at boot.  i have all the latest updates and drivers. windows 7 pro sp1.

Re: The driver WUDFRd failed to load...

i was wondering if you ever had a chance to look at this further. i was able to get rid of the warning by installing IN1FGP08WW1.exe on my t60's. this is lenovo's protector suite software and has the upek driver. unfortunatley, the software will not run on my recently purchased an x1 carbon windows 7 pro sp1.  this has different fingerprint reader and event id 219 is back and it is USB\VID_138A&PID_0017.

Re: The driver WUDFRd failed to load...

I get this warning for three different devices, and I don't even have a fingerprint reader installed!

Device Management does not show any driver problems.
