I have a pretty good story in contrast to the many unfortunate experiences people have been going through. However, I might say this and end up having problems so nothing is guaranteed. I ordered an X1 Extreme, i7 8750H, 4K, 32GB RAM, 512 GB SSD on March 16. I saw the expected shipping date as March 27-28 so I was kind of bummed out. This meant I would only get the device by April 4th according to Lenovo. To my surprise, a couple of days on March 22, I get an email saying that it has already shipped. Now I've been tracking the device on UPS and it looks like it's set on arriving this Thursday March 28. I hope to god nothing goes wrong.

As an update, my laptop finally shipped. It supposedly says it'll be here in 5 days, but since it's coming from China, I'm not so hopeful on that estimate. They also still have a $5k hold on my credit card.

It still amazes me how there is a dedicated thread for their shipping... I didn't believe it when I ordered a X1C recently, but now I believe.
This is no where near as bad some of the stories I've read but,
I ordered mine on March 22nd,
expected to be shipped on the 24th and
arrive on the 29th.
Not too bad I thought, but then I wouldn't be here if everything went as planned. Now it is 26th of March, the progress bar is still at "ordered", and they're still telling me it is expected to be shipped... 2 days ago. I contacted support, but they are useless as usual...
So yea, I sold my laptop anticipating it to be here by Friday, but now I can't buy anything on my credit card cause it is taken hostage by Lenovo... Nice.

Hi guys I'm from France, I ordered mine the 19/03/2019 got the mail confirmation the 20/03 with a 28/03 shipping date (ThinkPad T490 custom i7 512Go SSD 16Go RAM). Yesterday I received an email saying the shipping date is now to 31/03 with an expected delivery date for the 08/04 that's unbelievable I really need it too, and the customer service can't do anything just have to wait I'm really disappointed

So, mine finally shipped but is having fantastic overnights and day trips in Shanghai, Gimpo, Anchorage and now Louisville. Now I know why they are called businesses computers .

This is my first post on this forum, and I ordered a X1 Carbon (i7-8550U, 8GB, 256GB SSD, 4G, Touchscreen) on the 04/08. It was my worst online purchase. Did create an account, tried too pay, got a hold on my CC but a "technical error", switched card (thinking my bank was refusing it), the same issue! So I got two pending transactions (still showing today) on 2 different cards. Then I go on the online chat, he told me that it's probably my email address (hushmail), that I need to change email and start again, I do it again, and bam! Other pending transaction on my card and still denied! Then I had to do it by chat with the agent and all went good. But I have now 3 bogus pending transactions (for more than $4300) and another pending for $1400 for my actual order.
The system says:
Expected to Ship April 13, 2019
Expected to Arrive April 19, 2019
So we will see! I've been using mac for more than 12 years, and I'm switching because I'm done with the keyboard. Will see how I will adapt!

I ordered the same day online without issue. I wonder what was messing up on yours -- Likely some software glitch...
I ordered the X1E, pre-configured (16GB ram, FHD, 512GB SSD) on April 8th. Initially said shipping on the 17th, yesterday it slipped to the 18th.
We'll see how the shipping goes. My last X1C2 has been out of service for a while, and I'm using my work MacBook in the interim... I need to get back onto my own Linux machine at home!
