I have one question about this issue need your help me to confirm.
Does the USB2.0 port and USB 3.0 port all can not work properly on the dock when symptoms occur?

It seems like this is the most appropriate topic to post this under, though I do apologize in advance if I'm mistaken. The nature of the symptom (USB devices don't work when already-booted machine is plugged into dock) makes it difficult to search, since the dock itself is identified as "USB-C dock."
This behavior is completely deterministic in my case. I have upgraded the BIOS/firmware as instructed, but that doesn't seem to have affected anything at all.
If I plug the "off" machine into the dock and then boot it while connected, everything seems to work fine. But unplugging and replugging the dock (or if say the power goes out briefly, or even the cable is wiggled just a little too much) the USB devices (keyboard and mouse are all I'm using at present) are subsequently completely dead until I reboot the machine.
Any advice anyone may have to offer will be appreciated immensely. I've been searching for an answer to this for almost 6 months now, and I've finally given up and come here to ask.
Thanks in advance!

Did somebody found a long term solution to this issue? I'm having the same intermittent disconnect, even on the latest BIOS update (1.34).
I cannot find a specific pattern for the lost connection...
