ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6th transparency effect not working after Windows 10 2004 upgrading

2020-08-02, 10:06 AM

I have a ThinkPad X1 carbon 6th laptop with 2K HDR screen. I recently upgraded it to Windows 10 2004. After upgrading, the transparency (acrylic / fluent design) effect is not working anymore. I already tried to reinstall the system and found that the issue only happens after I install "Lenovo Display Optimizer" (ChromaTune). All other drivers are running the latest version. Is there any workaround for this issue?

By transparency effect not working, I mean:

Can see that although "Transparency effects" is on, there is no acrylic effect at the sidebar at all (same happens to all other apps and start menu).  However, there is indeed some transparency at the taskbar below, but it is supposed to be blur.
