Two messages discussing X1C7 moved to the existing thread on that subject!

On the usa Lenovo site, under the X1C7's customize column, no Comet Lake (still), and no more UHD option.

oh well, can't even order my laptop now!

Why would anyone get this machine now that basically every other manufacturer is releasing 10th gen systems. Look at the razer blade stealth. It has ice Lake with a nividia 1650 gpu

"Does the BIOS support Microsoft Modern Standby (S0)?" you ask. Yes! That's the default. Others will ask "Does the BIOS support S3 standby?". Yes again.

Will the switch to S3 standby in BIOS support be available for Gen6th models as well?

Has been available since BIOS 1.30.

Hi!

I have the FHD screen and it does have what I would say is significant ghosting. Granted, this is very subjective and I do use a high end 'gaming' monitor daily. I suspect an average user won't ever notice anything by himself. Attached are 2 images, ghosting test on X1C7 FHD and Asus rog pg348q monitor. Still, this is nowhere near to a deal breaker for me given my use case (programming, dev ops, browsing web and youtube).

Did anyone set up dual boot on x1c7? I need to have W10 side by side with Ubuntu based distro. Any gotchas? Also any reason for the preinstalled windows to be reformatted? So far I haven't noticed any junk, other than the standard crap that W10 comes with.

I don't see an Ice lake processor for the Stealth. Whisky Lake yes.

But I agree, I am glad I cancelled my order of the 7th gen Carbon. New hardware will be available soon.

Mate use Google. It's been announced 3 or so days ago. Even comes with a nividia 1650
