ThinkPad X1 Carbon: Blue Screen Error

For some reason, my computer sometimes spontaneous gets hit with the blue screen error page with the sad face on it. This is happening more and more often. What's more, the computer won't start correctly on it's own: it will display "running PXE over IPv4" then say "timeout." Then it will swap to "IPv6." Those two statements alternate as they both continue failing to launch the computer. What I end up having to do is use the physical power button to shut down the computer and then press [ENTER] to open the Boot Up Menu before exiting and THEN I can finally get to the start screen. Has anyone had any similar incidents? I'm not very sure what to do.

Re: ThinkPad X1 Carbon: Blue Screen Error

Check out whether the "spontaneous" BS could be invoked by the sleep event timer - check the time of inactivity to create the sleep event in the power settings.  Options to fix are

- install Power Management drivers again

- do a fresh install of the OS - no upgrade or "repair" session.

Your device the seems to create a "boot from network" attempt - with no server available for the action.  Check the BIOS settings.
