ThinkPad X270 shows Battery 1: Not Present

2017-11-08, 18:14 PM

Hi

I bought a Thinkpad X270 two days ago (MTM 20HM0007MY). I thought it had two batteries installed, one internal and one 6 cell external cylindrical battery. However, when I go to my power options it says Battery 1 Not Present:

I am rather confused. Should there not be an internal battery as well?

Thanks

The 2nd battery is an option.  I don't see the model listed in the PSREF.  If it were mine, I would look at the order and see if it is listed, and also pull of the rear cover and see if the battery is there.
