Thinkad X1C6 Sound Card - Better or Worse than Creative Play3?

Hi everyone,

My work computer is an HP that developed a problem with the headphone jack, so I bought the Creative Soundblaster Play3 (https://us.creative.com/p/sound-cards/sound-blaster-play-3) USB sound card for it.

That made me wonder - is this sound card better than the Realtek onboard sound card on my X1 Gen 6? In terms of customisations, sound reproduction, overall sound quality? I do have some decent quality Bose headsets and was wondering if it is worth using the Play3 soundcard on my Thinkpad as well?

Any advice?

Cheers!

It will make a some difference. The ALC3286 only supports 16-bit and 24-bit 44.1 kHz.
