I've started a service request because I'm still not 100% happy and want to get a replacement rolling before it's too late.
My issue is I will be in 4 countries for work in the next 4-6 weeks, so I have no idea what shipping arrangements will work....and I bought it in Ireland, not where I live.

THAT is not a solution. My last notebook was a Dell XPS 15 and it had several design issues.
They might have a better support, but if parts of your device break every month, it's not convenient either.
Not to mention that this is completely unrelated to the problem.

Heres what I got back. Looks like I'm out of luck. 6 days is all you get, which contradicts what others are saying here....disappointed.
Thank you for contacting Lenovo.
In order to complete your Service Request, I would like to ask you to
- please be advised the warranty does not provide replacement machines, we only repair them;
- please also be advised the forums are not an official Lenovo support page and no customer received a replacement, unless the machine was in the 6 business days
eligibily period for DOA;
- since you received the machine weeks ago, we can only repair it if it has a hardware failure;
- please update the touchpad driver to the latest version as this is known to solve this issue:
Please reply with more information/ your results.

Maz3max, you can use the Lenovo website to identify your product and serial number:
Once there, click on Detect My Product and you will also have the option to Detect My Serial Number.
